Emergency First Aid at Work & Emergency Paediatric First Aid

Emergency First Aid at Work - 7 hours tuition, 1 day 

This regulated course is designed to give learners the basic first aid skills to be able to cope in an emergency situation.

Course contents includes:

• The role of a first aider
• Managing an emergency
• Communication and casualty care
• Bleeding (minor and severe)
• Burns - minor
• Choking (All Ages)
• Fainting 
• Workplace legislation and accident reporting 
• Resuscitation (All Ages)
• Seizures 
• Shock
• Unconscious casualty

Assessment: Leaners must complete a multiple choice question paper, and must also  demonstrate practical skills including CPR, Recovery position, and treatment of injured casualties. Successful completion of both theory and practical assessments will lead to an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate valid for 3 years
